In order to maintain the top-spot in the highly competitive luxury car
segment, Audi is planning to launch a series of new cars in the Indian
car market. The company is planning to launch the sporty S5 in the
country. Interestingly, the maker doesn’t have the A5 model series in
India; however, the company will launch the high performance model - the
S5 Sportback in the country.
Audi plans to launch S5 Sportback in India
The Audi S5 is powered by a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 mill that churns
out 338PS of peak power. The car accelerates to 100kmph from zero in
mere 4.9 seconds and hits an electronically limited top speed of
250kmph. The S5 will be positioned between the sedan 'A' range and the
powerful RS5.
The S5 is equipped with Quattro drive and the S Sport suspension. The
flared wheel arches of the car have been fitted to 18-inch wheels. When
compared to the A5, the S5 Sportback gets new lights with large broken
loop LED inserts. It is equipped with large gaping chrome grille that
accommodates S5 logo, large five-spoke alloy wheels, two double barrel
chrome tipped exhausts and new, greyish outside rear view mirrors.
The Audi RS5 will be launched as a CBU (Completely built unit), and might be be priced around Rs. 65 lakh to Rs. 70 lakh.
